TestimonialsAs a member of a core group of California Catholics dedicated to the preservation of the institution of marriage, I have come to regard the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) as the answer to our prayers. When it looked as though all hope was lost in getting a constitutional amendment on the ballot in California to protect traditional marriage, NOM came to our rescue. The Executive Director of NOM, Brian Brown, even moved his young family to California to take over the operation of the campaign on our behalf. This was done through the creation of NOM California. Along with its nationally renown President, Maggie Gallagher, NOM has provided a level of expertise, professionalism, and commitment that has proved absolutely invaluable to our efforts to save marriage in this trend-setting state. Brian and Maggie have worked tirelessly, and almost miraculously, in collecting much needed dollars and signatures for the success of the Protect Marriage Amendment in California. They have accomplished this largely through a cooperative effort with other faith communities to a degree that has been unprecedented in California. As a result, it now looks as though we will realize our goals, in both dollars and signatures, for qualifying the marriage amendment for the November 2008 election in California. When that happens, the lion's share of the credit will rightfully go to NOM's incredibly dedicated and effective leadership team.
